Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Awlware collects, why, and what we do with it. It covers this website (awlware.com) and our products. Section 3 covers Cellendar, our Google Sheets™ add-on, and describes exactly how it handles data from your Google account.
The short version. This website has no cookies, analytics or trackers. Cellendar works inside Google's own systems: the contents of your spreadsheets and calendars are not sent to our servers. We receive only your email address to check which plan you are on. We never sell your data, never use it for advertising and never use it to train AI models.
1. Who we are
This policy is provided by Awlware (“Awlware”, “we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at support@awlware.com.
2. This website
- We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, tracking scripts or third-party fonts on awlware.com.
- The site is static and is served by a hosting provider. Like any web server, the provider may briefly process technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the page and protect the service against abuse. We do not use this data to identify or profile you.
- Links on this site that start an email (for example, “Email us to join the beta”) open your own email program. We receive only what you choose to send.
3. Cellendar and your Google data
Cellendar is an add-on for Google Sheets™ that creates, updates and deletes Google Calendar™ events based on rows in your spreadsheet. It runs on Google Apps Script, which means its code executes on Google's servers, under your Google account, when you use it.
3.1 Google data Cellendar can access
When you install Cellendar, Google asks you to grant the following permissions (OAuth scopes). We request the narrowest scopes available for each task.

Cellendar does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, your contacts, or full control of your calendars. If a future version needs an additional scope, we will update this policy before requesting it, and Google will ask for your consent again.
3.2 How Cellendar uses this data
Cellendar uses Google user data only to provide the features you use, at your request: reading the rows and columns you mapped, showing you what a sync will change, writing events to the calendar you selected, and writing a status into each row. When automatic sync is on, the same happens on a schedule that you enabled. We do not use Google user data for any other purpose.
3.3 Where your data is processed and stored
The contents of your spreadsheets and calendars are not stored on our servers. They are processed within Google Apps Script, on Google's infrastructure, while Cellendar runs. To make sync work, Cellendar stores a small amount of information inside your own Google account:
- In your spreadsheet: the sync settings (column mapping, target calendar and options), saved as document properties that the spreadsheet's editors can use, and service columns such as
Sync status. - On the events it creates: a private identifier that links each event to its row, so that updates never create duplicates.
- In your Google account's add-on storage: your personal preferences.
This information stays in Google's systems and is covered by Google's own privacy terms. You can remove it at any time (see 3.8).
3.4 What reaches our servers
During the beta, Cellendar does not send any data to our servers. It has no server of its own: no spreadsheet contents, calendar events, event titles, guest lists, email addresses or other Google data leave Google's systems.
If Cellendar hits an error, a technical error report (error type, time and the part of the add-on involved) is written to the Google Cloud logging of our project so we can fix bugs. These reports do not include the contents of your cells or events. They are kept for up to 30 days.
3.5 Sharing
We do not sell Google user data or any other personal information. We do not share or transfer Google user data to third parties, except:
- to Cloudflare, which forwards messages sent to support@awlware.com to our inbox, only for that purpose;
- when required by law, or to protect against fraud, abuse or security threats;
- as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you first and this policy's commitments will continue to apply.
3.6 What we never do with Google data
- We do not use it for advertising, including personalised, retargeted or interest-based ads.
- We do not sell it or hand it to data brokers or information resellers.
- We do not use it to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes.
- We do not use it to develop, improve or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
- No person at Awlware reads your data, unless you give us explicit permission for a specific case (for example, when you ask us to look into a support issue), it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or it is required by law.
3.7 Limited Use disclosure
Cellendar's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3.8 Removing access and deleting data
- Revoke access: go to myaccount.google.com/connections, select Cellendar and remove its access. Cellendar immediately stops being able to read your spreadsheets or change your calendars, and any automatic sync stops.
- Uninstall: in Google Sheets, open Extensions → Add-ons → Manage add-ons and uninstall Cellendar.
- Data in your Google account: you can delete the service columns in your sheet and, in Cellendar's Settings, reset the link between rows and events. Events Cellendar created are ordinary events in your calendar: they stay until you delete them, or you can delete the whole calendar if you let Cellendar create a separate one.
- Data we hold: during the beta Cellendar does not send anything to our servers, so there is nothing for us to delete. If you emailed us, write to support@awlware.com and we will delete the conversation within 30 days.
4. Payments
Our products are free during the beta and we do not take payments. If we introduce a paid plan, we will update this policy before any payment is taken and name the payment provider that processes it.
5. Support emails
When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to answer you and to improve our products, and we keep the conversation for as long as needed to support you, and no longer than 3 years after it ends. Please don't send us spreadsheet contents you consider sensitive; if we need an example to reproduce a problem, we will ask and you can send a trimmed copy.
6. Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to export it. You can also object to how we use it. Email support@awlware.com; we will reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
7. Security
Cellendar has no server of its own during the beta. Because Cellendar processes your spreadsheet and calendar data inside Google's systems, that data is protected by Google's security.
8. Children
Our products are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use Google user data or other personal information, we will announce it on this website and, where we have your email address, notify you before the change takes effect.
